Our “mind power” is largely in the way we use our words, and limited by our vocabulary. Words, and the concepts they express, are different in each language, and there are differing common expressions. That’s why when you learn a new language, you learn new ways to think.

Most Americans see money as something created, not as a static quantity to be divided up. This is no coincidence. English is one of the few languages that speaks of “making” money. In other languages, the verb used is “to gain,” “take,” or “get.” The words used affect how people think about money. Personally, I think “making money” is a very healthy perspective.

Hablas Espaol?

Did you know that in Spanish, you’re not thirsty, cold or afraid? You have to say “I have thirst (yo tengo sed)”, “I have coldness (yo tengo frio),” or “I have fear (yo tengo miedo).” Could this change the way a person experiences things?

Definitely. Therapists are now telling people to stop saying or thinking things like “I am afraid.” That way of expressing it creates too much identification with the feeling. It’s healthier to say “I feel fear.” You’re not afraid, you’re a human; fear, like all feelings, is just a temporary visitor.

In Spanish you “take” a decision (tomar un decision). Is it possible that “taking” a decision could be less stressful than “making” one? It might subconsciously limit you, too, since you generally “take” from what’s available, while to “make” leaves your options wide open.

Other Advantages Of Learning A Language

You gain words when you learn a language, but also the ability to understand things better. Who can speak more precisely about snow; someone with three words for it (snow, sleet, powder), or an eskimo with 22 words for it? Which is more efficient, the German word “zeitgeist,” meaning “the taste and outlook of a period or generation,” or the nine words I just used to say the same thing?

According to the research, most people experience a general improvement in memory from studying a language. Research has also demonstrated that you can halt age-related decline in mental function by learning a new language. Tuck that little tip away for later in life, or better yet, why not start learning a new language today?

Audiobooks are obtainable in a myriad of titles and writing styles. Enthusiastic readers can always find a time to enjoy books, nevertheless the thousands of audio titles available offer convenience. So remember audio-books next time you think of purchasing a book, audiobooks are a wonderful means to fit all the titles you desire into a busy life.

Seven Secrets, The: Uncovering Genuine Greatness by John Hagee is definitely a gratifying read, but busy life-styles could make that hard to achieve. Long journey times to the office and day-to-day chores might eat up sizable chunks of free time without you seeing it. Your favourite pastimes get pushed aside for other more urgent jobs. It’s easy to make use of the time spent commuting to get up to date on those books you can’t find the time to read. Thanks to technology, it’s easy to spoil yourself with New Dibble Show, The – Season 4 – Episode 02: The Audition by Jerry Robbins by Download Audio Book Online, or audiobooks recounted by E. M. Forster without even turning a page.

In today’s busy environmant multi-tasking has become essential. Audio books such as Pimsleur Hebrew (Modern) I Part 3 by Dr. Paul Pimsleur by Download Audio Book Online make greater use of of the dead minutes in our daily life, it could be time passed waiting in a physician’s surgery or buying groceries. Audio-books are now for sale to download as audio data files suited for your PC, laptop computers and media players these titles include Pimsleur Arabic (Egyptian) I Part 1 by Dr. Paul Pimsleur, so grab your mp3 player and take the opportunity to listen to a biography or a wonderful novel, like audiobooks by Michael J. Gelb and Sarah Miller Caldicott without carrying cumbersome books with you.

Audio books provide various advantages such as renting or buying the instructional book of your choice then enjoying it in your own time. Interested in learning Spanish? Try audio-books! Maybe the latest business practices are your thing, you can even find out about the paranormal. Audible books are obtainable in a myriad of titles and literary genres. Whether you are a natural history buff, or you are crazy over horror or if your interested in self-help, most can be downloaded right away. Choices are wide open; you can take a subscription to a service and hire your choice of audio-book or else buy them online. Avid readers will invariably seek out a time for reading, but a more convenient way might be the myriad of audio titles now available. Numerous stories, for example audio titles told by Carmen Bin Ladin, can be more pleasurable when recounted by the author or a celebrated actor. Reading a book is not the same as enjoying an audio title performed by Stephen King, with niceties established during a rendidtion. Your reading experience can be heightened by listening to an audio-book like Straight Into Darkness by Faye Kellerman and go much deeper the written words.

So the next time in future should you consider purchasing a book that could easily gather dust on a shelf, think of an audiobook as a better choice.
